Adventure Tour Cambodia
Our adventure tour in Cambodia has been put together for the more adventurous and opens up the country’s enchanting wild and rugged north-east. Starting in Siem Reap you will have a guided tour of the Angkor temples an obvious highlight of any holiday in Cambodia and you will also be taken on a Tonle Sap tour where you will get the chance to see Kampong Phluk.
This is one of the many fascinating floating villages of Cambodia and finish off with an enchanting circus performance which is a mixture of dance music and acrobatics set to a Cambodian story, that provides a real insight into Cambodian culture.
Irrawaddy river dolphins
Leaving Siem Reap (Cambodia’s heart) you will travel north-east to Kratie, home to the famous Irrawaddy dolphin. Once here you will enjoy an overnight stay on the Kings Island and take a boat trip out on to the Kampi Dolphin pool to see the endangered Irrawaddy river dolphins. From here your adventure tour will take you on a journey to Ban Lung where you will get acquainted with some tribes people and venture in to the jungle where you will get to see various wildlife. You will also visit the incredibly beautiful Yaek Lom lake, one of the prettiest volcanic lakes in the world.
Elephant Trekking
Next on your adventure tour we drive you to Sen Monorom where you have the choice of either a Cambodian elephant trekking experience or a trip to an elephant sanctuary. You then finish your time in Cambodia’s rugged northeast with dinner with a local tribes family which is the most authentic experience that you will get in Cambodia.
Your Cambodia adventure tour then concludes in Cambodia’s capital where you will enjoy a cyclo tour of Phnom Penh before exploring the rest of the city’s sights, including the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda before learning about Cambodia’s past before returning home.

Arrival
On arrival at the airport in Siem Reap you will be met by a See Asia Differently representative, who will transfer you to your hotel. Where you have the afternoon to relax and enjoy the city as you wish.

Siem Reap
Floating Village
This morning you visit Kampong Phluk, which is a perfect example of one of the many communities living in the floating villages of Cambodia. Within the community, you will pass schools and houses standing on 8 to 10m high stilts, as well as fish farms and an island pagoda. You will also visit the flooded forest, home to some of Cambodia’s water-bird species, before a brief Tonle Sap boat tour. After the tour, you will return to your hotel, where the afternoon is yours to do as you wish.

Siem Reap
Angkor Temple Tour & Circus
On this magnificent day tour you will take a static balloon ride, which gives you an aerial view of the temples. From here you journey to the enchanting temple of Bayon located in the centre of Angkor Thom. Your next stop is the Terrace of the Leper King. This intricately carved platform was the royal crematorium. Then continuing along to the Terrace of Elephants, originally used as a viewing gallery for the king to preside over parades, performances and traditional sports. You will then move on to the Mother of all temples, the Angkor Wat, which is believed to be the world’s largest religious building. Your final destination is the famous ‘Lara Croft; Ta Prohm temple, a structure, which has been abandoned to the elements. In the evening you will then marvel at the fantastic Cambodian circus, which is a mixture of acrobatics, music, dance and culture.

Kratie
Siem Reap to Kratie | Drive: 6 hours
Today you depart Siem Reap in the early morning and begin the journey to a riverside town of Kratie. You will reach the bustling provincial city of Kompong Cham, where you stop for lunch on the riverfront. After lunch, you continue your journey passing through the old river port of Chhlong, home to some of the best examples of French colonial architecture in the country. Once in Kratie, you are free to explore the town and the local market as you wish; before enjoying a magnificent sunset over the river, if you’re staying on the mainland, or you can take a short boat trip to Koh Trong Island, if you want to experience more rural life.

Ban Lung
Kratie to Ban Lung | Drive: 3 hours
This morning your Cambodia adventure tour journeys up the river to the dolphin pool of Kampi, it is the largest dolphin pool on the Mekong River and home to the rare Irrawaddy dolphin. You continue on to visit the nearby hilltop pagoda at Sambok Mountain, where you will climb the stairs to the top. A quaint pagoda lays at the top and a temple containing carefully painted depictions of Buddhist beliefs. You will have time to explore the area and admire the beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding rice paddies and countryside as you go. After some time, you will then be transferred to your hotel in Ban Lung.

Banlung
Minority Trek & Yaek Lom Lake
Today you begin your journey to an indigenous village of Ka Teng, where a minority group of Kreung people live. Upon arrival, a ranger guide will walk you around the village. You will get a chance to interact with Kreung people and ask them about their life. After that you carry on exploring the beautiful volcanic crater lake of Yaek Lom. Once there you can walk around the lake or take a refreshing swim in the freshwater if you wish.

Sen Monorom
Ban Lung to Sen Monorom | Drive: 3 hours
Today you leave behind Ratanakiri and transfer to Sen Monorom, passing through the lovely Cambodian countryside en route. Once you arrive in Sen Monorom you head straight to a local coffee plantation for a traditional local lunch and the chance to sample some of the wonderful local coffee. You then continue to your hotel where you can enjoy the rest of the day settling into your countryside surroundings.

Cambodian Elephant Experience
Today you have 2 alternatives:
Cambodian Elephant Trekking
Travel to a traditional tribal village to meet your guide and elephant. From here you will enjoy an elephant ride, through the Cambodian countryside, past rivers and into the jungle. After enjoying lunch by a river you have the amazing opportunity to swim and help wash your elephant before returning home.
The Elephant Sanctuary
This is essentially a conservation project where rescued Cambodian elephant live. On your day with the elephants, you will follow the herd and learn all about their mannerisms and connect with them. You can also feed them bananas and help to hose them down and giving them a bath.
Local Tribal BBQ
Whichever experience you choose for the evening you will dine with a local Phnong family and enjoy a local BBQ inspired by Gordon Ramsay. The evening gives you a fabulous insight into Cambodian culture and real traditional tribal life.

Zip Wire Flight
This Morning your driver will pick you up from your hotel and take you back to your hotel to freshen up if you decided to enjoy a traditional homestay. Then after breakfast, you will enjoy an adrenaline-packed time on the fast and furious Zip Line flight, where you will fly through the exotic beauty of the tropical forest and over Bousra Waterfall where you will enjoy lunch. In the afternoon you can discover more of the area before returning back to your hotel.

Phnom Penh
Sen Monorom to Phnom Penh | Drive: 7 hours
Today you will leave behind the wild and fascinating northeast and start your transfer to Cambodia’s capital Phnom Penh. Along the way, you will stop at Kampong Cham for lunch and then for an aperitif, you will pause at Skun known locally as spider-Ville were if you dare you can sample the local delicacy of a deep-fried tarantula. Once you arrive in Phnom Penh you can explore under your own steam and take an evening stroll down by the waterfront.

City Cyclo Ride
Enjoy a Phnom Penh cyclo tour in the morning, seeing the capital’s key sites such as Wat Phnom, the National Library, the Central Market, the National Museum and of course the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda. After lunch on the waterfront you will visit the infamous Tuol Sleng Museum (S-21) and then the killing fields of Choeung Ek, where you learn about the turbulent recent history of Cambodia.
