Our boat river cruises through Cambodia and Vietnam are the perfect way to explore and experience the real way of life in Asia as so many people’s livelihoods depend on the mighty Mekong river.

All of these boat cruises can also be done in reverse, such as starting in Phnom Penh and finishing in Siem Reap in accordance to the 3 day Mekong cruise, or from Saigon and finishing in Siem Reap on our 6 and 8 day Mekong boat trips.

Day
1
Siem Reap
Siem Reap to Tonle Sap Lake
This morning you will be transferred by speedboat or private minibus to Siem Reap Phnom Krom pier to board the cruise. You will then sail to and cross Tonle Sap Lake towards the Chnok Tru floating village. An evening welcome drink and crew introduction will be had whilst the anchor is dropped before dinner.

Kampong Chnnang
Tonle Sap Lake to Chnok Tru & Kampong Chnnang
Today you will sail to Chnok Tru floating village to visit a floating school, church, pagoda, service stations, floating stores, and a floating police station. From here you will head to Kampong Chnnang village known for its fine clay pottery. After lunch on board, a relaxing afternoon will be had, as you admire the views whilst crossing Tonle Sap Lake to Kampong Chnnang.

Phnom Penh
Kampong Tralach to Kon Chen, Oudong & Phnom Penh
This morning, after breakfast, the boat will cruise towards Wat Kampong Tralach Leu pagoda to visit the beautiful Kampong Tralach Vihara. Next will be a stopover at Koh Chen (Chinese Island) whose inhabitants specialise in silver and copper smithing. As you continue on your journey you will see Oudong and its royal stupas from the distance before having dinner on board as you continue to cruise to Phnom Penh.

Phnom Penh
City Tour
On arrival in the capital in the morning you disembark and venture into the city for an exploratory city tour. You will visit the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and Russian Market. The rest of the day is fo you to enjoy as you wish. We are able to arrange an excursion to the Killing Fields and S21 so that you can understand and reflect on Cambodia’s horrific past. Later you will return to the boat for a fantastic dinner accompanied with a delightful, traditional dance show.

Sa Dec
Phnom Penh to Vietnam Border & Sa Dec
Today you will leave at the break of dawn for Kaam Samnar (Vietnamese border). After breakfast, the anchor is dropped at the check-point. You can then relax onboard as the cruise team deals with all your passport formalities. Then while you enjoy lunch on board, the boat will leave for Sa Dec, where dinner will be served and you will moor up for the night.

Vinh Long
Sa Dec to Vinh Long
After enjoying a relaxing morning in Sa Dec, lunch will be served as you cruise to Vinh Long and onwards to the Binh Hoa Phuoc Islet fruit tree nursery. Following this, a journey to Cai Be is taken for a short panoramic cruise. You then head to My Tho where the boat will moor for the night.

Vinh Long to My Tho
After breakfast, a local boat will take you on a short boat transfer to the mainland. From there you will enjoy a morning panoramic tour of My Tho. On returning to your Mekong cruise boat you then continue towards Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), where you will moor for the night and then enjoying an extravagant farewell dinner on board to celebrate a wonderful Mekong river adventure.

Today your journey on the cruise comes to an end. After a leisurely breakfast on board, you will arrive at Saigon Port where you will depart for Saigon, also known as the Paris of the East.
