This Java & Bali Tour starts off by leaving Surabaya and discovering the incredible Mountains of Bromo and Ijen (Blue Fire). To discover Bromo you have the energetic option of trekking or the easier option of taking a specialist 4×4 jeep. On this action-adventure, you will explore the Tengger Semeru National Park to see a unique sunrise with plumes of smoke coming from the Semeru volcano, 3676 meters above sea level. From here you will descend and cross the eerie desert-like sand plains on foot or on horseback and discover for yourself what an active volcano looks like with its plumbing smoke and volcanic cones.
Leaving Bromo behind, your journey to the base of Mount Ijen, where you will relax for the rest of the day before another early rising morning. Mount Ijen is at its best if scaling it in the dark, which is perfectly safe due to the well-worn mountain footpaths. Once at the top you will be greeted with a magical blue light showdown in the volcano’s base. After time taking in this rare sight you descend the mountain and continue your journey to Northern Bali, which you reach by a local ferry boat.
Northern Bali is where you have a few days to rest and relax on the beautiful coastline. Once here you simply have to take a morning boat trip to watch the dolphins frolic in the warm waters. Not only that, but you will also take one of the best day trips in Asia to the surrounding hills of Sekumpul village, where you will see gorgeous tired lush green rice fields and enjoy cooling off in the stunning waterfalls. After a long day, you return to Lovina, where you have your last day to relax, or you can take a day trip to Menjangan Island, play golf or just do nothing.
Leaving the north coast behind you continue on to the lovely and cosmopolitan town of Ubud. Reaching Ubud from Lovina is an amazing day trip in itself, crossing mountain ranges, stopping off at the twin lakes of Buyan & Tambling, the famous Ulun Danu Beratan Temple on the lake as well as fitting in some coffee tasting before arriving in Ubud. Once in town, you will take a relaxed day tour of the town. But, if you want to explore more, there are some wonderful day trips and things waiting to be discovered, like the must-visit elephant sanctuary. After that you will be transferred to Denpasar for your returning flight home with some amazing memories of your Java & Bali Tour.

Surabaya to Bromo
Today the adventure begins as you drive inland to start your ascent up to the Tengger Massif and the 2300m high Bromo volcano. You will arrive in the afternoon and check into your lodge for the night. Later, you take a short drive up to the summit of the massive caldera to enjoy a volcanic sunset over the Tengger Semeru National Park.

Ijen
Bromo to Ijen
This morning you will rise before the sun comes up. You have the option of trekking up Sunrise hill or taking the 4×4 jeeps. Throughout the early morning, you will explore the Tengger Caldera, which also contains Java’s higher mountain, Mt. Semeru (3675m) and an impressive Sand Sea, which you can get a horse trek across. You then return back to your hotel for breakfast and continue by road to Ijen.

Day 4
Lovina Beach
Ijen to Lovina Beach
Again this morning you will be up before sunrise to take a walk up to the top of Mount Ijen. The walk is suitable for all abilities and is massively rewarding when you get greeted by the blue flames at the base of the volcano only visible in the darkness. After returning for breakfast you will transfer via ferry to Northern Bali, stopping off at a monkey temple before your beach base in Lovina Beach.

Free Day
Today you are free to relax at your beachfront hotel for the entire day and rest your weary legs from the two days of the previous mountain walking and touring. Lovina Beach is a very quiet and romantic fishing village famous for the incredible dolphin shows that you get to see just off the coast.

Another early morning awaits, you will take a sunrise boat trip off the coast to enjoy the magnificent dolphins that frolic in the waters and play amongst the boats. After enjoying breakfast at your hotel you will be taken on rice fields and waterfall adventure in and around the hills of Sekumpul, which is a simply magical day tour.

After your last night in Lovina you then take a journey through the mountains to Ubud. Today your guide will introduce you to the cosmopolitan town of Ubud and Money Forest. Traditions are important at Ubud, and religious processions, rituals, and festivals occur on a daily basis. The city has also attracted many contemporary arty minded people; resulting in the fact that you can find quaint art museums, galleries, fashionable shops, and boutiques together with imaginative restaurants and cafes.
