Whisky Village
The village is a touch touristy, as it is the standard stop-off for people going to the Pak Ou Caves, but it is fun and well worth visiting. The village sells all the normal things that you would expect, from scarves and some local handmade goods, but the main draw is watching them distill the whisky, the same way that they always have done. You are able to sample the different types and strengths of whiskey and can also pick up a small memento for very little money.

Pak Ou Caves
There are two caves which you can visit at Pak Ou. The bottom cave, called Tham Ting, which everyone visits and the top cave, called Tham Theung, which is visited by probably only 20%, as most tourists don’t exert themselves to walk up the extra few steps. We of course recommend you to visit both as, if you have made it this far, then why not! Most people prefer the top cave as there are less visitors and it holds some hidden surprises.
